In 1957, Raymond E. McConnell, a licensed Real Estate Broker and Auctioneer, opened the doors of his Real Estate and Auction Company, then known as McConnell & Associates.  With his office located at 10th & Main Street in Paris, Kentucky “Uncle” Raymond, as many people knew him, worked with several associates in the early years of his real estate business. After obtaining their Real Estate licenses his wife, Maude Sheeler McConnell, and his daughter, Barbara Ellen McConnell joined Raymond in the family business. At the suggestion of Raymond his grandson, Bill T. McConnell took his Real Estate exam in June of 1973, and attended Missouri Auction School in January of 1974 and joined the company.  Bill T. has been a licensed Real Estate Sales Associate since 1973, a licensed Auctioneer since March of 1974 and a Real Estate Broker since 1976. After retiring from the Kentucky State Department of Finance W.T. McConnell, Sr. (Raymond’s son; Bill T.’s father) joined the company as a Real Estate licensee in 1980; working until 1984.  Bill T. would go on to take over the business operations after buying out his grandfather’s, father’s and aunt’s shares in the McConnell Real Estate, Inc. business and property interests.

Over our 60+ years, this family owned Real Estate and Auction Company has become a very well known business throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky.  Bill T. has been joined by his wife, Sheila Brannock McConnell (Auctions since 1974; real estate licensee since 1985) and his son, Todd McConnell (real estate licensee since 2007; real estate Broker since 2016; Auctions since 2010). Other current Real Estate licensees are Linda S. Boyd, Gary Pendley, Dana Mingua, Emma Taylor and Roy T. Baber. Our Auction Staff includes Auctioneer Brian Doyle, Serena Brierly and Heather McConnell.  We have had the pleasure of working with many, many other great Real Estate Associates, Auctioneers, and other staff members throughout the years.

  McConnell Real Estate, Inc. has since moved from our original location on 10th & Main Street, and we are now located at 1833 S. Main Street in Paris.  In 2004 we moved into our new facility that houses our real estate office and spacious Auction Center on a 3 Acre Lot. The McConnells and our Staff welcome the people of Paris, Bourbon County and Central Kentucky to visit our site and inspect the amenities that are “Available For ALL Your Real Estate & Auction Needs”.
